About the Author

Nancy Braden-Moore is a retired elementary special education teacher of learning disabled students in Flint, Michigan. She is a mother and grandmother. Through teaching and family experiences, Nancy learned the importance of exciting stories with colorful, detailed illustrations to draw a child into the love of books. She knows the special comfort a favorite stuffed animal can give to a child.
From Michigan State University, Nancy received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, and from Oakland University, she received a Master’s Degree in Special Education. Although she took many art classes, her best teacher was her father, Rev. Dr. E. I. Braden. He was an artistic Presbyterian minister who loved teaching his four children basic art principals. Nancy thanks her mother, Dorothy, a former English teacher, for teaching the importance of speaking and writing correct English.

Nancy resides with her husband, James, in Flint Township. They have a blended family of five adult children and nine grandchildren. She continues her interest in writing and illustrating children’s books.
The books written and illustrated by Nancy are Spotty’s Secret, Bunny’s BIG Blunder and Teri Bear’s Cuddly Connection. All three books were published by Comet Publishing.
